city versus campus: the final weeks

city: only five weeks left of freshman year? I don't know how time went by so quickly; I can still remember the sunday I moved in in perfect detail. 

over the past few months I can't believe the things I have done. I have mixed feelings about freshman year as I look back. I won't say that everything was perfect; it's hard to be away from my safety net back home. but I would never give up the memories I have made and the things I have learned including its okay not to know everything and to go with the flow more often.

these last few weeks will hopefully be filled with even more great things as I keep hoping that spring will finally stay.

campus: I can't believe freshman year is almost over. may 9th and I'm out. when I think about it now, I realize it flew by. sometimes when I was living it though, it seemed to go by unbearably slowly.

we've all been there: 30 minutes to be out the door and nothing to wear. on top of that, it's freezing outside and you want to look cute. to problem solve for you, we've compiled some simple, reusable, and classic nighttime outfits for you-- regardless of where you reside. 

living in the city can mean facing almost any weather but you somehow still need to look your best. for new york the safest bet is all black. in any jam, black will always work for you and especially in the winter i'm always reaching for black.

last night I attended the preview event for danielle bernstein's, of weworewhat, jewelry collaboration with topshop. the collection was inspired by a trip she took to istanbul and this is seen throughout all the pieces. some of my favorite pieces are pictured below.

city girl

this is taylor here. just to quickly get the basics out of the way. I am a freshman at the stern school of business at new york university. living in the city is just about everything I imagined it to be.

I'm the classic introvert that likes hanging with a few friends more than going to a party. I fool many people by seeming quiet in the beginning; but get to know me and I become loud and talkative. because of this I understand the pain of all other introverts. 

the loves of my life are music, food, and clothing. if I could I would go to a concert every weekend, stuff my face with chocolate, and finish it off with a shopping spree. if someone can find a way for me to do that without horrible consequences please share. 

so those other introverts who enjoy overindulging in things talk to me. we can share in our dilemma.
